Imagine this. Im in the back seat, driving through the city. Its December time, mellow music on the radio. Michael Jackson comes in, telling us to “heal the world”. I feel the music, as my pencil moves in my i-pad.
I think of the oceans in pain, the aquatic life calling for help, the glaciers melting. My pencil moving, I realise its us suffering from the mess we have created ourselves. What do we do? Do better. A message that starts as universal, also narrows down to the environment around us.
Wherever we are, if we try and make it a better place, to live, to breathe- our home, our planet becomes better. So it is all a matter of covering up the wounds we’ve given up with all the band aids we can find.
It is almost like the waves rise to tell us: “human, heal the planet, and make it a better place”.
